Lakebrink Refrigeration was founded by Herb Lakebrink in 1957. When Herb returned home from the Korean war, he started the business with a focus on commercial refrigeration. In the early 1960s, Herb began installing heating and air conditioning products, where he specialized in heat pumps. In 1999, Allen and Kathy Eaker, who were current employees, bought into the ownership of Lakebrink’s. Kathy was the current office manager and Allen was a service technician. 

In 2000, they changed the name of the business to Lakebrink Heating & Air Conditioning and turned their complete focus to heating and air conditioning and away from appliances and refrigeration. They also purchased their first piece of sheet metal equipment in 2000 and have since grown into an automated fabrication facility. In 2020, Allen & Kathy purchased the remaining shares of the business and now their children Amber, Taylor and Megan are all working in the family business.
